About This Opportunity

The United Diplomats Global Assembly 2027 (UDGA 2027) is a five-day Model United Nations experience held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, from 25–29 January 2027. Organised by United Diplomats and powered by Global Peace Chain — an organisation that has conducted panels at the actual UN General Assembly in New York — the event brings together 280 young leaders worldwide to debate and pass resolutions on the theme "Artificial Intelligence for Peace and Sustainable Development."

150 of the 280 seats are available through scholarship, making this one of the most accessible international diplomacy programmes for African youth right now. No MUN or public speaking experience is required.

> ⚠️ Note: UDGA is an independent educational simulation. It is not organised or endorsed by the United Nations — the venue is a commercial booking at the UN Conference Centre. All scholarship applicants pay a non-refundable $30 application fee to submit.

    • Tips

    • Apply well before 30 November — only 150 funded seats exist across three tiers and competition is global. The $30 fee is required to submit, so budget for it.
    • Your essay is the decision — the committee evaluates real leadership experience and community impact. Be specific: name programs, numbers, and outcomes, not just aspirations.
    • Sort your passport early — you need a valid passport plus a Thai visa (unless your nationality qualifies for visa-free entry). United Diplomats issues the invitation letter, but the visa decision is Thailand's — allow 4–6 weeks.
